Account & Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your Sobbr account and the personal data we hold about you using any of the methods below. There is no cost, and you do not need an active subscription to make a request.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app
- Open Sobbr on your phone.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Tap "Delete Account" and confirm.
Your account is queued for deletion immediately and removed from our active systems within 30 days.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you no longer have access to the app, email support@sobbr.app from the email address linked to your Sobbr account with the subject "Account deletion request". We will verify your identity and confirm deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account profile (email, display name, hashed password).
- Your sobriety tracking data: sobriety start date, check-ins, streaks, relapse events, goals, notes, reflections, and reminders.
- Device and usage records linked to your account.
- Support correspondence linked to your account, on request.
What we may retain, and for how long
We may retain a limited set of records when required to comply with the law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements — for example, financial records of subscription transactions for the period required by tax and accounting laws, and minimal records needed for fraud prevention or security. Encrypted backups containing your data are purged on our standard backup rotation, no later than 90 days after account deletion.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play. To cancel, open your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings before requesting deletion. Refunds, where available, are issued by Apple or Google in line with their respective policies.
